Staunton Baptist Church
"Your faith and love have risen up from the hope set aside for you in heaven, which you have heard about in the message of truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ which has come to you. And just as this gospel is bearing fruit and growing in the entire world, so it has also been bearing fruit and growing among you all from the first day you heard it. You have understood the grace of God in truth."
Colossians 1:5-7
| Who Are We? | |
| Staunton Baptist Church is a body of Christian believers. We meet together at the church and in our homes to encourage each other, to teach each other, and of course, to worship our Lord Jesus Christ together. We also like to have fun! Since the Bible tells us that God's love for mankind is demonstrated today through His people, we strive to embrace all who come into our fellowship. We will love you and care for you the best way we can. No one is turned away. We don't have a dress code. We don't care where you came from, or what religious preference you have. Jesus Christ came into the world to seek and to save that which was lost. We are all sinners, and we all put our pants on the same way. | |
| When Do We Meet? | |
| We meet at 9:30 a.m. Sundays for our Sunday School groups in the classrooms. One of our members will greet you at the door and show you and your family members around. At 10:30 a.m. we break for coffee and doughnuts in our Fellowship Hall. At 10:45 a.m. we begin our worship service, usually with the joyous music of our praise band, and on occasion, we enjoy a pot luck lunch after the service. |

| Fellowship Groups | |
| Fellowship Groups meet every Sunday morning at 9:30, with three classes for mixed adults and a Seniors class. These are interactive discussion groups facilitated by warm and friendly church-going folks who use the Bible as their cornerstone for teaching. |
|
| Teens and Children | |
| The youth program is exciting, challenging, purposeful, and growing daily. The week for our young people begins with Sunday School at 9:30. We have one group for the teens, and two for the children; Pre-K-2 and 3-5 grade. Children's Church for 5th grade and under begins shortly after start of the regular Sunday worship service. Our well-organized children's program "TeamKID" picks up again after school on Wednesday afternoons at 4 p.m. with individual and group school tutoring sessions and an educational and entertaining Bible Study program for all children 5th grade and younger. Dinner is served for the kids in the Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m. followed by another round of activities until 7 p.m. Need a ride? We have a dozen adult volunteers assisting our Children's Program director to ensure your children are well looked after. We KNOW that our children are the future leaders of our church! Teenagers, 6th grade through High School, meet at 7 p.m. in the youth room downstairs. Special events are also held frequently, with events for our teen and pre-teens ranging from extended mission trips to pizza parties. Of course, on Sundays there is a full service Nursery available and staffed by experienced church members who know how to take care of our precious toddlers and infants. Back to Top |

| Ladies' Monthly Trips | |
| The ladies' monthly trips take them to places of interest and always include a special lunch stop and perhaps a little shopping. Trips are usually the first Thursday of each month and are open to ladies of all ages. Some are overnight trips. Leave the driving to us...the Church van is our transportation. |
|
| How About Breakfast, Fellas? | |
| Every Friday morning at about 7:30 our "Sausage Boys" take aim, by boat or by car, at Mitchell's Marina in Huddleston for breakfast and banter. The Boys are an informal bunch, for sure, of all ages, who hold court on any subject...wanna come? Just show up! Back to Top |
